BLUE ÖYSTER CULT TOUR JACKETS

The elusive tour jacket is a rare collectible. These items were usually produced in very limited quantities for the band, crew, record company people and promotional giveaways.

1976 - Windbreaker

Blue Nylon Windbreaker with black snap closure. Silkscreened upper left chest area, says "BOC" "The Reaper Thanks You" and "PC 34164" and Columbia Records Logo.

A promotional piece for the Agents of Fortune album.

1978 - Some Enchanted Evening Tour Jacket.

Black Satin jacket with yellow snap front closure and yellow and black knit collar/sleeve/waistband. Back features cloth appliqué "reaper on horse" from the "Some Enchanted Evening" album cover, and " • Blue Öyster Cult • " screen printed underneath.

1979 - Ampex "Tape of the Stars" Tour Jacket.

Off-white Satin jacket with black snap front closure and black knit collar/sleeve/waistband. Back has screenprinted logo and "on your feet" style type. Front has screenprinted Ampex logo and left breast features stitched name.

This personalized tour jacket was made available for fans to buy from Ampex along with their "Tape of the Stars" campaign. Orderforms for this item were in the 1979 "Rockbill" tour handout.

1982 - E.T.L. Tour Jacket

White Satin jacket with black snap front closure and black & white stripe knit collar, sleeve and waistband. Back has printed logo, front has logo with band name above and 1982 below. Name is stitched on right breast. Printing on this item is applied in what appears to be some sort of heat-press process.
